Mommy Feature: Macaela Cameron aka Remix
Ahh, the joy of Motherhood – perhaps the most testing and rewarding job any of us will ever have. At Playdate we love to hear from our moms; learning about their daily life as well as all the precious little motherhood moments.
On this note, it’s our absolute pleasure to introduce this month’s Mommy feature: Macaela Cameron, or the one and only Remix! Macaela wears many, many hats and has adjusted flawlessly to life as a new mom to her beautiful baby girl, all while balancing work and launching her new business, Ogle + Stone. She’s definitely a super mom!
1. Tell us about yourself
Hi everyone, my name is Macaela but I guess I’m probably better known by my alter ego, Remix. Most importantly however I’m now a mommy to the most beautiful girl in the world!
2. What’s the most rewarding thing about being a mom?
The most rewarding thing about being a mom is seeing her little face and eyes brighten up with the cutest little smiles and laughs. Everything about her is perfect.
3. What was the most surprising thing you discovered when you became a mom?
The most surprising thing I discovered was the amount of love I feel for my daughter. It’s such an indescribable feeling. Who knew it was possible to love a little human soooooo much??
4. What advice would you give to an expecting mom/new mom?
My advice would be to listen to your instincts. There’s no better mom for your baby than you! Everyone will tell you what they think is best but only you know what’s best for you and your baby. Trust your gut.
5. What’s your favorite activity to do as a family?
My favorite thing to do as a family is anything that makes my daughter smile.
6. What does self-care mean to you as a mom?
Self-care means taking time to do things for myself. Whether it’s going for a manicure/pedicure, going to the gym or going to dinner with friends. In order to be the best mom I can possibly be to my baby girl, I need to take care of myself first.
